 |
| How can a single
treatment method address such a variety of issues? |
| The discovery statement of EFT states
that "the cause of all negative emotion is an imbalance
in the energy system." All reactions, feelings, responses
or physical symptoms can be addressed by balancing the human
energy system with EFT. Once the energy system has been balanced,
the depression lifts, the anxiety is neutralized or the physical
pain is alleviated. |
|
|
| Are there any
contraindications to using EFT? |
|
No. EFT is safe, easy to apply, and non-invasive.
To date, minimal side effects have been reported other than
occasional temporary fatigue. However, this does not mean
that you will not experience adverse side effects. If you
intend to use these techniques, you must agree to take full
responsibility for the results and for your physical and emotional
well-being. You may wish to consult a trained EFT practitioner
for professional application of these techniques.

|
|
| What prevents
EFT from working? |
| If you are a living breathing human or
animal, EFT should work on you. Occasionally, the targeted issue
is approached too globally which results in ineffective relief.
In rare cases, energy toxins such as perfumes or certain foods
produce an allergic reaction in an individuals energy
system and retard, or temporarily reverse treatment. Skilled
EFT practitioners will spot this block and be able to treat
the client effectively. While not perfect, EFT has an extraordinarily
high success rate of 85%, even when used by beginners. |
|
|
| Can I treat
myself? |
| Absolutely, and with a likelihood of a
high success rate. If you are motivated, emotionally stable
and use good judgment in the problems you address with EFT,
you should have good success. It is important however, to know
your limits. Sometimes it is difficult to be both patient and
doctor. Many people consult EFT practitioners for the objectivity
and experience necessary for successful treatment. |
|
|
| Suppose my illness
has lasted decades or is an inherited condition? |
| EFT alleviates symptoms regardless of
duration, etiology, or family history. The duration of the condition
does not seem to effect the outcome or length of treatment needed. |
|
|
| How long will
the treatment last? |
| It is difficult to predict this outcome
in each individual case, however, long-lasting results are routine
when using EFT properly and aiming it at the right targets.
If the practitioner successfully treats the core of the problem,
permanent relief is the norm. |
|
|
| Can EFT be used
for children? |
| Yes, usually with superb results. Since
children are less critical than adults, they have less of a
need to understand the inner working of the energy system, and
can therefore allow the treatment process to unfold more naturally.
It is very safe and effective with children. See Gary Craigs
web site www.emofree.com and search for articles on the treatment
of children.) |
|
|
| Why does EFT
focus on the negative so much? Can this hurt me? |
| In order for EFT to work, you must be
tuned in to your problem, for example, actually feeling some
of the anxiety. This allows the treatment to be "aimed"
at the problem, and be neutralized as a result of using the
tapping. |
|
|
| How do I find
out more about EFT and related treatments? |
| Consult Gary Craigs web site, http://www.emofree.com.
In addition to finding a complete tutorial for EFT, you will
find hundreds of case histories, philosophical studies, a support
e-mail list, and a series of superb training tapes for sale.
In addition, the web site provides numerous links to related

|
| How can EFT
dramatically change my life? |
| Actually it can change your life in many
ways. Suppose that you have lived with a fear for most of your
life, or a guilt over something perhaps. This fear or guilt
is something that you have adapted your life around. Your responses
to what ever happens in your life is dictated by the guilt or
fear, and this is done quite subconsciously. So if the emotional
charge of the guilt or fear was eliminated, would it not stand
to reason that your life would change as well, would it not
change your consciousness? |
| Let me put it this way, can you remember
your most embarrassing moment? How do you feel when you remember
that? Where do you feel it? Does it feel good? Would you like
that feeling to go away and just remember that incident as an
"oops" with no emotional charge to it? |
|
|
| Why is it that
I don't need to tell my "story" for the EFT to work? |
| EFT is not a therapy where you have to
tell your story to someone to gain insight and understanding
from them. You know the story, you live it everyday energy wise
- all people who have their personal terrors and traumas just
want to get past them and live a normal life without that 'crouching
tiger' in the corner. When utilizing EFT all one does is just
'look' at the 'issue' as if sitting in a movie theater and giving
the incident a title and then tap on certain spots on the body,
which corrects the energy flow. Again, EFT is not a therapy
per se, it is a tool that one can apply themselves. |
|
|
| Is is painful? |
| No, the process itself utilizes a verbal
affirmation and tapping on certain Meridian Points with 2 fingers,
humming and counting...very simple - and that is the full process.
In most cases shortcuts can be used, which just consist of tapping. |
|
|
| Can the emotional
issue or pain come back again? |
| More than likely if a reoccurrence happens,
it is because it was not completely eliminated to begin with,
it does not mean that EFT did not work. In these cases it is
because of something called an Aspect. Using 'low self esteem'
as an example - low self esteem didn't happen overnight, it
took many incidences of shall I say 'put downs' to have one
feel this way. It came from incidences with ones parents, siblings,
classmates and so on. Each incidence is an Aspect that cumulatively
adds up to 'low self esteem.' |
|
|
| But what if
I can't remember all the Aspects to tap for them? |
| This is the great part about EFT, issues
that have many Aspects can be equated to a forest of trees.
Each of the trees that make up this forest are Aspects. When
one starts chopping down known Aspects with EFT others will
make themselves known to you, then you can chop them down with
EFT. After you have chopped down a few of these trees, the rest
of the Aspects (trees) that supported the issue (forest), will
simply fall down by themselves. |
|
|
| Ok, why will
this work where all else has failed? |
| Because it works on the energy portion
of the dis-ease factor which in turn works to change our consciousness.
|
| I am not disparaging physicians when I
say that they work on our illnesses and injuries by chemical
and mechanical means - they are necessary. And I'm not disparaging
the psychological field either when I say that it is a known,
that psychologists realize, that even though they help people
to feel better about their issues and become more socially functional
- the issue none the less remains. There are many caring and
dedicated doctors. |
| Our bodies are libraries of all of our
experiences and this library is not one of paper but of electrical
patterns. The words 'thoughts are things' highly applies here.
Negative thoughts can be filed under fears, phobias, arthritis,
tense muscles. Deep seated anger could be filed somewhere in
the body and crop up as cancer, heart problems or migraines.
EFT is the 3rd factor in becoming whole as in body, mind and
Spirit. It is the missing key to why some people don't heal,
why some people can't lose weight or stop a craving. For the
body to really heal, the energetic portion has to be addressed
as well as fixing the physical body and the mind. |
